On June 30, 2025, Danos closed the purchase of Wood Group’ s onshore oil and gas labor supply operations in the United States. With this transaction, the company strengthens its role as a key supplier of specialized personnel to the energy industry.
Oil and gas operations in strategic locations
Since 2012, Danos has had operations in the Permian BasinEagle Ford and other shale reservoirs. With the integration of these Wood activities, the company expands its coverage in strategic onshore projects and diversifies its reach into production and renewable energy services.
Paul Danos, CEO, said the company has spent nearly eight decades building a team capable of safely maintaining and operating energy assets. The integration of Wood’ s staff and contracts will further that mission and open up new opportunities for its more than 3,700 employees.
With more than 200 clients in 21 states, operations in the Gulf of Mexico and international presence, Danos continues its expansion plan initiated in 2014. This is the seventh acquisition in a decade, and management assures that it will continue to explore opportunities that strengthen its service capacity and human talent development in the energy sector.
Reed Peré, president of the company, emphasized that this acquisition is aligned with the vision of providing exceptional service while investing in the success of the team and customers. In addition, Eric Danos, head of Danos Ventures, confirmed that they will continue to look for deals that will drive growth and innovation in energy.
