How to book Alef’s flying car?

To secure a pre-booking, interested parties must pay a deposit of $150, an amount they can get back at any time if they decide not to proceed with the purchase. To date, the company has produced two prototypes of the vehicle.

An important point to highlight is the endorsement of Elon Musk and his company SpaceX, underlining the potential of the Model A in the emerging flying vehicle market. The pre-bookings already potentially represent more than $850 million in future business, although the company continues to seek additional financing to move the project forward.

About Alef Model A

The Model A, a two-seater electric vehicle, stands out for its vertical takeoff and omnidirectional flight capabilities, thanks to its eight propellers that allow a flight range of 110 miles and a cruising speed of up to 110 mph. On the road, the vehicle offers a range of 200 miles, although its top speed is limited to 35 mph, classifying it as an ultralight vehicle in the United States.

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration. (FAA) granted the Model A a special airworthiness certificate in July 2023, facilitating test flights. In addition, Alef Aeronautics is developing a four-seater electric sedan, the Model Z, with a planned launch in 2035 and a target price of $35,000, looking to compete in the affordable electric vehicle segment.
