The capabilities of the Atrato Onsite Energy solar park
Equipped with more than 93,000 bifacial solar panels, this solar park has a production capacity of 49 GWh per year . Its infrastructure allows a reduction of carbon dioxide emissions of up to 11,000 tons per year, contributing to the transition towards a low-carbon energy system.
Through a three-year Power Purchase Agreement ( PPA ) with energy provider OVO , Atrato guarantees the distribution of this clean energy, supporting OVO’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2035.
Furthermore, the solar park has been ecologically assessed, which includes habitat improvements aimed at increasing biodiversity by more than 10%, in line with the requirements of the 2021 Environment Law . Atrato, which stands out as the main owner of commercial rooftop solar installations in the country, adds this project to its strategy of expanding to larger-scale land.
Atrato Partners managing director Gurpreet Gujral said: “ The development of solar farms of this magnitude is critical to meeting the UK’s clean energy targets, moving us ever closer to a net-zero emissions economy. ”
