STATS Group announced the expansion of its North American operations by opening a new manufacturing facility in Rosenberg, Texas, an investment that will strengthen its responsiveness to the U.S. energy market.

The new plant will feature 80,000 square feet dedicated to the production of pipe fittings and specialized components for hot tapping and line stop operations. With this infrastructure, the company aims to offer integrated services with shorter delivery times for oil and gas operators throughout the region.

Likewise, the facility represents STATS’ first dedicated manufacturing capacity in the United States and the largest capital investment project undertaken by the company to date.

Demand for local manufacturing encourages expansion

The growth of energy infrastructure in North America has increased the need for locally manufactured equipment and rapid solutions for pressurized pipeline maintenance. In response to this situation, STATS decided to expand its industrial presence in Texas to bring production closer to its customers.

The company’s Houston office will support the operations of the new plant, allowing for more efficient coordination between engineering, manufacturing, and technical support.

Brandon Glover, manufacturing director of STATS Group in the United States, explained that the investment responds to the need to improve responsiveness and maintain high quality standards in production processes.

The new facility will streamline our comprehensive service offering and provide greater control over quality and manufacturing production.

Specialized production for pipeline operations

The plant will incorporate a modernized machining workshop capable of manufacturing components specifically designed for STATS’ patented pipe insulation equipment and intervention systems.

Among the products to be manufactured are fittings for pipelines, hot tap equipment and components for line stopping, technologies widely used for maintenance and modification of pipelines without stopping critical operations.

Thanks to this local capability, the company expects to significantly reduce production times and improve equipment availability for energy projects in North America.

Industrial growth strategy in the United States

STATS Group has established itself as a provider of pressurized pipe insulation, hot tapping and plugging services for onshore and subsea energy projects.

The new facility in Texas is part of a global strategy focused on expanding industrial infrastructure and strengthening the workforce in key markets. The company believes this expansion will increase its operational scalability and allow it to respond more quickly to the evolving needs of the energy industry.
