Royale Energy advances with its tenth well and adds 70 areas in the Permian Basin

Royale Energy completes its tenth well while evaluating more than 70 potential drilling locations in the Barnett and Woodford plays.

Royale Energy it maintains its active development program in the Permian basin the company already has nine producing wells and is progressing with the completion of a tenth well in Ector County, Texas. The company has also identified a large inventory of drilling opportunities in the Barnett and Woodford formations.

The company holds a 7.5% working interest on approximately 16,600 gross acres in this area of the Permian Basin. Its plans include maintaining drilling activity through 2026 and adding new wells in 2027.

9 Royale Energy wells exceed production forecasts

Meanwhile, the ninth well was drilled and completed during the first half of 2026, and the facility began producing in May with an initial rate of 1,031 barrels of oil per day and 1,915 million cubic feet per day of natural gas.

Of that volume, Royale Energy and its direct working capital investors receive 77 barrels of oil per day and 144,000 cubic feet of gas per day.

Furthermore, the nine wells currently in production are operating at or above the benchmark curve used for three-mile laterals. This curve assumes an ultimate recovery of approximately 113 barrels of oil equivalent per foot of lateral, with an estimated composition of 80% oil.

This performance allows Royale Energy to continue advancing the development of its assets while exploring new drilling opportunities within its surface area in the Permian basin.

The tenth well enters the hydraulic fracturing phase

Currently, the tenth well is in the process of hydraulic fracturing and completion, the company expects the return flow to begin approximately 30 days after this operational phase is completed.

Royale Energy is also evaluating the Woodford interval in this well, the results will be important in defining future development opportunities within this formation. The company is also keeping a close eye on the Barnett formation, another of the formations included in its drilling strategy in Ector County.

Barnett and Woodford offer more than 70 potential locations

Looking ahead to the next stages, Royale Energy estimates that Barnett could offer between 30 and 39 additional undeveloped drilling locations. These are spread across approximately 12,940 gross acres, and the final number will depend on whether two- or three-mile laterals are used.

In Woodford, the company estimates more than 40 additional potential locations, by combining both inventories, the area could exceed 70 drilling opportunities, although their development will depend on technical assessments and the company’s future programs.

For now, Royale Energy plans to continue drilling through 2026 and is considering adding new wells in 2027. This inventory expands the available options to support the development of its assets in the Permian Basin.

Royale Energy is preparing a horizontal well in Odom for 2027

In addition to the program it is developing in Ector, Royale Energy plans to drill a horizontal well targeting Odom in the Jameson North field during the first half of 2027. The field is located on the eastern flank of the Permian Basin.

In this area, the company maintains a 100% working interest on approximately 7,465 net acres, it has also identified more than five additional horizontal prospects from Odom through 3D seismic analysis.

With these operations, Royale Energy plan ranges from the completion of the tenth well to a portfolio of new locations in Barnett, Woodford and Odom that could support new drilling campaigns during 2027.

The company seeks to progressively expand its production base in the Permian Basin, relying on the performance of current wells and the evaluation of new intervals with potential for future development.
