The company MacGregor has confirmed it will supply a comprehensive deck machinery system for exceptionally large cable-laying vessels. This project will be carried out at the Tersan shipyard in Turkey, a facility recognized for its specialized shipbuilding capabilities.
Technical management and supply for the cable-laying vessels
Likewise, the management of this contract has been made possible thanks to cooperation with Nemo Marine, the company’s local agent. The orders were finalized during the first quarter of 2026, and the equipment is expected to be delivered throughout 2027. This transaction strengthens the division’s order book at a time of high demand for offshore energy infrastructure.
The contracted supply covers a complex range of systems designed to withstand the pressures of open-sea operations. Specific deck machinery for offshore platforms and equipment intended for the merchant fleet. Among the most notable components are high-performance winches essential for safe anchoring and mooring maneuvers under critical conditions.
On the other hand, the versatility of these systems enables the vessels to operate with greater efficiency in subsea cable deployment. Magnus Sjöberg, a MacGregor executive, noted that this agreement validates the organization’s technical capability to deliver robust solutions.
