KUKA Robotics announced its participation in FABTECH Canada 2026, where it will showcase advanced automated welding solutions designed to improve productivity and flexibility in industrial environments. The event will be held from June 9-11 at the Toronto Convention Centre.
New robotic cells for flexible manufacturing
First, the company will present the arc_cellerate Index robotic cell, a standardized solution designed for high-variety, low-volume applications. This compact system allows manufacturers to optimize processes without resorting to complex configurations.
Furthermore, the arc_cellerate cells include additional configurations such as Side-By-Side and Ferris, expanding their ability to adapt to different production needs. These solutions stand out for their rapid installation and their capacity to offer repeatable and reliable automation.
Integration of machine vision and real-time monitoring
On the other hand, one of the most relevant features will be the integration of welding cameras developed by Xiris. These allow for the capture of thermal and static images of the process in real time.
The system also incorporates digitization capabilities that facilitate the collection and analysis of operational data. This translates into greater process control, improved joint quality, and faster, data-driven decision-making.
Industrial robotics in the face of labor shortages
In parallel, KUKA will also present the Edu_ArcWelding cell, designed for technical training in robotic welding. This mobile system includes a six-axis robot, fume extractor, and advanced control tools.
This solution addresses the growing need to train personnel in industrial automation; companies can train operators with practical experience in real-world environments, reducing the skills gap in the manufacturing sector.
FABTECH Canada as a technology platform
During the event, KUKA specialists will share criteria for evaluating robotic welding solutions. In particular, they will address when to opt for pre-designed systems versus custom-developed ones.
Finally, the company’s participation reinforces FABTECH Canada’s role as a key hub for the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies and industrial automation in North America.
