BW Offshore has signed a basic engineering and design agreement with Equinor for the development of the Bay du Nord project, located off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. This agreement marks the next phase of the project following the company’s selection as the preferred bidder for the floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) unit.
FPSO technical development and project planning
The FEED phase will extend until the end of 2026, a period during which the company will work on perfecting the design of the FPSO as well as in defining the project’s execution plan and delivery schedule.
Likewise, this stage will include commercial and contractual alignment with Equinor, along with the selection of subcontractors and suppliers, with the aim of presenting a firm offer that will allow the consolidation of the next phase of development.
