FPSO Petrojarl I production shutdown at Atlanta field

The FPSO Atlanta has the capacity to store 1.6 million barrels of oil, significantly more than Petrojarl I's 180,000 barrels.

The Brazilian oil and gas company, Enauta, has decided to stop production of the FPSO Petrojarl I to carry out necessary modifications to the equipment, after conducting inspections at the processing plant in the Atlanta field, located offshore Brazil. This measure has been taken to ensure the correct maintenance of the selected equipment.

Enauta resumes production in June

The company has announced that expects to resume production at the Atlanta field in the next few weeks of June . This decision comes after the company completed a five-day maintenance operation on Petrojarl I at the end of May, allowing the temporary resumption of production.

In addition, the Petrojarl I is scheduled to be replaced by the Petrojarl I. FPSO Atlanta a larger-capacity unit, whose mooring operations began in mid-May. Enauta has reported that 19 of the 20 FPSO Atlanta anchors have already been installed and that activities to connect the first two wells to the platform are scheduled to begin after June 15.

It is important to note that Petrojarl I has a production capacity of 30,000 barrels of oil per day and a storage capacity of 180,000 barrels, while FPSO Atlanta has the capacity to process 50,000 barrels per day, handle 140,000 barrels of water per day and store 1.6 million barrels of oil.
