Blue Origin’s flagship New Glenn rocket is preparing for its maiden flight, scheduled for January 10 from Cape Canaveral Space Station . This event marks the first certification step for the National Security Space Launch ( NG-1 ) mission. The three-hour launch window will begin at 1:00 a.m. (EST).

The launch will include testing of the Blue Ring Pathfinder system, designed to assess critical ground and flight capabilities. This project is registered in collaboration with the Defense Innovation Unit ( DIU ) and is part of an innovative strategy in orbital logistics.
The ultimate goal is to successfully reach orbit . Although landing the rocket in the Atlantic on its first attempt is considered a major challenge, the company is taking it on with determination. “ This is our first flight and we have worked rigorously for this moment . Regardless of the outcome, each step will be a lesson for future missions ,” said Jarrett Jones, senior vice president of New Glenn.
