Jubilee Metals, a company specializing in metals production, has achieved a major breakthrough by announcing the production of the first copper concentrate at the front-end module of its concentrator plant in Roan, Zambia. Once the ore is obtained, it will be sent to Roan’s intake module, where it will be further refined at the Sable refinery, owned by Jubilee Metals, for the production of copper cathodes. This processing is a complement to the copper sulfide concentrate, because it is already generated in Roan’s milling and flotation circuit, which is distributed to the current market. The incorporation of the front-end module is an addition to the company’s production capabilities.

Moreover, the front-end module is expected to be fully operational in the third quarter of 2024. This expansion will allow Jubilee Metals to consolidate its presence in the copper industry. copper industry in Zambia in Zambia, integrating the new module with its existing operations at the Roan milling and flotation circuit, and refining at Sable. In addition, the refinery is undergoing upgrades with the objective of achieving a combined copper production capacity of more than 25,000 tons per year in the country.

“This is an important moment for Jubilee Metals as we see our growth projects begin to materialize. The production of the first upgraded concentrate in our processing modules marks a crucial breakthrough for the company, allowing us to begin to fully utilize the copper production capacity we have at our Zambian operations.”

Leon Coetzer, CEO of Jubilee Metals.

Finally, Coetzer took the opportunity to thank the Jubilee team and all stakeholders for their support in achieving this important milestone. The project continues to move forward and develop new ways to extract.
