CATL has unveiled the “ Freevoy Super Hybrid Battery ”, designed to make extraordinary changes in the sustainable mobility sector. This battery is the first on the market to offer more than 400 kilometres of electric autonomy and an ultra-fast 4C charging capacity.
“Freevoy Super Hybrid Battery” is CATL’s new promise
This battery optimizes the electric range of these vehicles, and addresses common problems in hybrid batteries, such as slow charging and poor performance in extreme cold conditions . In fact, this technology allows users to reach up to 280 kilometers in just 10 minutes of charging , a great novelty that promises to alleviate the well-known “ range anxiety ” among hybrid car drivers.
The impressive performance of the Freevoy battery comes from an integration of advanced CATL technologies , such as the modification of the cathode surface and the development of a high-conductivity electrolyte, a development favorable to its autonomy.
These innovations, together with the new BMS management system , allow for more precise control of the state of charge, improving energy efficiency by 20%. In addition, the integration of a protective layer on the cathode helps to increase the battery’s lifespan and performance in extreme temperature conditions.
A new era in EREV and PHEV batteries
Moreover, the Freevoy incorporates sodium ion technology, allowing it to operate in temperatures as low as -40 degrees Celsius. This technology certifies stable performance in cold climates, while fulfilling a smooth and safe driving experience.
The integration of lithium and sodium ions allows the battery to efficiently adapt to high and low temperature locations, demonstrating the company’s commitment to technological innovation for a sustainable future.
