Amiblu to supply GRP pipes for energy project in Dominican Republic

Amiblu Pipes Spain, a well-known manufacturer of Glass Fiber Reinforced Polyester(GRP) pipes and fittings, has been awarded a contract for aturnkey project in the Dominican Republic.

The supply of GRP pipes

This contract covers the construction of the refrigeration lines for a new 240 MW combined cycle plant located in San Pedro de Macorís. The engineering firm in charge of the project is TSK, and the total value of the contract exceeds 1,100,000 euros. Amiblu’s work includes the design, manufacture, supply and installation of GRP pipes, with diameters of up to 1.4 meters, required for the cooling lines of this plant.

This contract is an integral part of the Energas Combined Cycle Power Plant-Unit 40 Project, a key development in the energy infrastructure energy infrastructure infrastructure in the Caribbean country. Amiblu Pipes Spain, a subsidiary of the Austrian-based Amiblu Group, will be responsible for the entire turnkey project. This includes detailed engineering, supply and installation, with hydraulic support and testing.

Erection work will begin in September and the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2024. Throughout this period, Amiblu indicated that it will work hard to ensure that each phase of the project is executed with the highest standards of quality and performance.
