Wilson Sons has begun a crucial testing phase for the port sector by integrating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) into the distribution of technical mail and light cargo. The initiative is being deployed specifically in Guanabara Bay, where the company aims to optimize connections with supply vessels to offshore platforms and other essential services.

Flight operations are managed by Speedbird Aero , an organization that brings solid experience after having completed thousands of journeys in demanding international environments.

The operation has obtained all the necessary certifications from the civil aviation and airspace control authorities in Brazil. The main objective of these maneuvers is to validate the technical feasibility of a system that promises to reduce transport times to just nine minutes for eight-kilometer journeys.

Likewise, the impact of this advancement is reflected in worker safety and the preservation of the marine environment. By avoiding the deployment of smaller vessels for deliveries of small items, exposure to risk during transshipment maneuvers is minimized.

The integration of these autonomous flight systems defines the future of offshore support. The ability to transport up to five kilograms with unprecedented agility allows the shipping agency to respond more precisely to the needs of its business partners.
