According to information released by the company, the project will allow the Eagle Explorer to remain operational for an extended period. This award expands SeaBird Exploration's project portfolio and provides greater predictability for its operations through 2027.

The campaign involves acquiring seismic data to support exploration activities off the Indian coast. This type of study provides information about the seabed to assess the potential for energy resources and facilitate the planning of future developments.

India maintains demand for seismic exploration services

The new agreement also strengthens SeaBird Exploration's presence in one of the most active markets for marine exploration in the Asia-Pacific region. The company believes the contract improves its position to compete for new opportunities in India in the coming years.

SeaBird Exploration CEO Finn Atle Hamre noted that the award strengthens the company's order book and provides greater visibility into the Eagle Explorer 's utilization through 2027. He also indicated that the demand for high-quality seismic data continues to be driven by the interest of various countries in strengthening energy security and advancing resource development.

SeaBird Exploration aims to consolidate its regional growth

Furthermore, the company highlighted its experience in conducting seismic exploration campaigns through safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This track record has allowed it to maintain a consistent presence in the Indian market while expanding its opportunities within the Asia-Pacific region.

For Energy Holdings , the contract represents further support for its strategy of strengthening businesses capable of generating sustainable revenue. At the same time, it helps consolidate SeaBird Exploration's position in a market where the search for new energy resources continues to drive demand for specialized seismic data acquisition services.

Cholla will have a new life with natural gas

Arizona Public Service (APS) announced its plan to convert two units of the former Cholla Power Plant into a natural gas-fired power plant. The project aims to meet Arizona's growing electricity demand and leverage existing infrastructure at the site. Construction is slated to begin in 2028, with operations expected to commence in 2029 after permitting is completed.

The conversion will add approximately 380 megawatts of electrical capacity, enough to power around 61,000 homes.
