In a strategic move that strengthens its position in the maritime industry, Strategic Marine has signed an agreement with Mainprize Offshore to build six state-of-the-art Supa Swath vessels , with the possibility of extending the order with six additional units. This contract highlights the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in vessel design .

Design and characteristics of Supa Swath vessels

Developed to offer stability, efficiency and technology, Supa Swath vessels have been key in Mainprize Offshore’s expansion. These vessels are ideal for complex offshore operations , integrating propulsion systems that reduce fuel consumption and meet sustainability standards. Their innovative design provides superior stability even in adverse maritime conditions, ensuring the safety of crews and cargo.

They also feature advanced navigation and communication technology that optimizes operations and improves response capacity in challenging environments. Their versatility allows them to adapt to activities such as personnel transport, support in renewable energy projects and maintenance of marine infrastructure , consolidating their relevance in the offshore sector.

A step forward in collaboration

This agreement follows the successful delivery of the MO10 and MO11 vessels, which were specifically designed for the demands of the renewable energy sector in Europe . According to Bob Mainprize, CEO of Mainprize Offshore, this development strengthens their fleet with cutting-edge technology that ensures safer and more profitable operations.

For his part, Chan Eng Yew, CEO of Strategic Marine, highlighted that this partnership demonstrates the mutual commitment to leading innovation in the maritime industry. The delivery of the first vessel is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026 , marking a new chapter in this successful collaboration.

With this order, Mainprize Offshore plans to increase its fleet to 17 vessels by 2026 , with the potential to reach 21 in 2028. This growth strengthens its operational capabilities and responds to the growing demand in the marine renewable energy sector in Europe.
