Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 electric truck goes into series production

Mercedes-Benz recently announced the series launch of its eActros 600 electric truck . Manufactured at the plant in Wörth, Germany, this model is specifically designed for long-distance transport, a crucial segment for reducing CO₂ emissions in the road freight transport sector.

eActros 600: A truck with a range of 500 km

With a range of up to 500 kilometres on a single charge , the eActros 600 sets a benchmark in the electrification of heavy trucks .

Daimler Truck continues its commitment to sustainability. At the launch event, CEO Karin Rådström underlined how this electric truck is geared towards long-distance transport, an area responsible for a large part of the sector’s emissions. Thanks to its innovative design and the integration of batteries with a total capacity of more than 600 kWh , the eActros 600 offers a cleaner and more efficient transport solution.

In addition, the Wörth plant is committed to becoming a CO₂-neutral production site by the end of 2026 .

Transformation in the production of electric trucks

The production of the eActros 600 in Wörth marks a step forward in terms of sustainability and production flexibility. The electric truck is manufactured on the same assembly line as diesel-powered trucks, allowing for seamless integration between traditional technologies and cleaner alternatives. In addition, Daimler Truck has invested in the training of its staff, with more than 3,300 training courses in new technologies , ensuring that workers are ready for the demands of the future.

The eActros 600 is not only a technological innovation, but also a significant step towards the transformation of heavy transport.
