GXO Logistics has announced a collaboration with startup Reflex Robotics to conduct implementation tests on a new scheme for automating humanoid robots in industrial warehouses and other commercial applications.

Reflex’ s robot is a flexible and rapidly deployable solution, reaching full operability in just 60 minutes. With the ability to learn from human demonstrations, the humanoid can adapt to multiple assignments, such as container transfer and product picking, and case stacking, making it a versatile tool for logistics operations.

The project is being developed under GXO’s“operational incubator” program. GXOs “operational incubator” program, which allows for testing emerging technologies in a real warehouse environment. Currently, Reflex’ s humanoid robot is being tested in an “omni-channel operation” for a global Fortune 100 retailer.
If the results are successful, the company plans to expand the use of these robots in different facilities, alleviating capacity constraints and allowing employees greater focus on other, more relevant activities.
For his part, Ritesh Ragavender, CEO of Reflex Roboticscommented, “Partnering with GXO has allowed us to refine our solutions in a real-world environment and scale our robot production to support use cases in tasks such as shelf replenishment and quality control.”
