Aura Minerals Inc. presented an update of the Mineral Reserves and Resources of its three operating mines: the San Andrés mine, the Ernesto/Pau-a-Pique mine and the Aranzazu mine, located in Brazil.
Likewise, the company presented an update on its development projects, including the Matupá Project and the Almas Project.
Rodrigo Barbosa, President and CEO of Aura Minerals, commented that this year they are working to achieve their medium-term objectives. “In 2022 we laid the foundation to meet our strong growth targets in the coming years to reach over 450,000 GEO annualized by 2025. Through stable production, growth in Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves. Adding to our portfolio through Mergers and Acquisitions”, he highlighted.
It added that its strategy in 2022 focused on increasing mineral resources in all its projects, thanks to increased investment in exploration.
“In 2022 we had a conversion rate of more than 100% in inferred mineral resources and added 865 kGEO in measured and indicated mineral resources and 592 kGEO in inferred resources. Likewise, we saw a significant increase in Mineral Reserves by adding 742 kGEO of Proven and Probable Mineral Reserves. Handily beating the burnout of 2022.
Mr. Barbosa added that they are focused on increasing their Mineral Reserves and making new discoveries.
“Beyond the reported numbers, we expect imminent increases in our mineral resource base through a number of high-priority opportunities. In the first place, in our Borborema Project, acquired at the end of 2022. Which is in the feasibility study stage focused on converting the historic JORC Mineral Resources”.
