Antarctica began to disappear between about 30 and 40 years ago. Under the ice of Antarctica there is solid land, an entire continent that we can barely glimpse from scientific bases. However, what is under that white layer and how vulnerable it is to climate change is now known with greater precision.
Asset integrity helps anticipate risks and maintain operational reliability in complex industrial environments.
Digital traceability and automation improve efficiency and safety in all phases of the oil and gas chain.
Sustainable solutions to protect metals using natural extracts. Focus on eco friendly corrosion control with high efficiency.
Advances in biotechnology increase the possibilities of going beyond current alternatives for energy supply by introducing more efficient and environmentally sound technologies.
Geothermal energy, although known since ancient times, is now a key energy trend in the fight against climate change.
Author: Ph.D. Yolanda Reyes, July 13, 2022. Acoustic Emission (EA) is a Non Destructive Testing (NDT) method, based on a physical phenomenon that takes place inside materials. It is defined as the spontaneous energy emitted by a material, in the form of transient elastic waves. They constitute a method applied to detect and locate leaks and defects such as cracks or corrosion in pressure equipment, machines, installations, cranes, bridges, etc. The advantage of the method is that defects can be recorded before they become problems.
The International Day of Women in Engineering was created by the Women's Engineering Society (WES) in the United Kingdom (year 2014).
Hydrogen production drives the energy transition through sustainable thermal, electrolytic, and biological pathways.
Corrosion is a natural process of material degradation, with multiple consequences, not only economic, but also environmental and human. Current research has focused its studies on the problems presented by metallic corrosion, caused by the progressive deterioration of the environment. However, there are few studies on the reverse case in relation to the effect that corrosion has on the environment.
The company Waygate Technologies through its commercial representative the Testek Group, leaders in the manufacture and marketing of equipment and materials in non-destructive testing (NDT) solutions for industrial inspection, presents the Krautkramer USM 100.
