At ASNT 2024, one of the largest events in the non-destructive testing (NDT) industry, ProMag is showcasing its latest innovations in inspection technologies for the automotive, steel and defense sectors. ProMag representative Marcus discusses the company’s participation and new developments at its booth at Caesar’s Forum in Las Vegas.
ProMag offers solutions in magnetic inspection
ProMag, a Taiwanese company, has designed a new AC/DC inspection yoke that incorporates black and white light, allowing for one-handed magnetic particle (MT) and liquid penetrant (PT) inspections. “This innovation makes operation easier and improves efficiency for our NDT customers,” says Marcus. This equipment, designed and manufactured under international standards such as ASTM and NADCAP, is aimed at high-demand industries, including defense and aeronautics.
Global expansion and market adaptation
With a strong track record in NDT, ProMag currently exports to the US, Europe and North America, and is still looking for new distributors in the North American market. According to Marcus, “We have seen an improvement in the sector since the pandemic, although some segments such as forging and casting still present challenges.” ProMag continues to adapt to these changes and strengthen its global presence in the NDT sector.
Automation and AI-driven technology
Since 2018, ProMag has integrated AI into its automated inspection solutions, achieving a proprietary robotic software system for defect recognition, especially useful for high-volume customers in the automotive and steel industries. This technology enables defects to be detected with greater accuracy and efficiency, reaffirming ProMag’s commitment to the quality and efficiency of its NDT processes.
ASNT 2024 brings together more than 2,200 attendees and 210 exhibitors from around the world, offering a platform to share the latest innovations and knowledge in NDT. ProMag, with its cutting-edge solutions and vision for growth, establishes itself as a benchmark in automation and inspection technologies for various industries.
