On the second day of the event, Carl Bracken, Vice President of Business Development at Mass Technology Corporation and Safe Cut, shared his experience and the company’s technological advancements in a revealing interview with Inspenet.
MassTech: DoD Leak Detection & Domestic Waterjet Cutting
Bracken began, explaining that Mass Technology Corporation specializes in leak detection and water cutting for tanks, primarily for the Department of Defense (D.O.D). “Our water cutting is our domestic work. We don’t go overseas for that, but we do testing all over the world.”
Bracken emphasized the importance of leak detection in tanks. “If your tank leaks, it can contaminate the groundwater. You definitely don’t want to contaminate groundwater,” he stated. He also shared stories of critical situations where the company intervened to solve serious leak problems.
Additionally, Bracken discussed the patented Safe Cut technology, used by major oil companies and tank repair firms present at ILTA 2024. “We have master agreements with all the major refineries and tank repair companies,” said Bracken, highlighting the effectiveness and demand for their technology.
