CPower and EnergyHub have established a collaboration to launch a new residential Virtual Power Plant (VPP) program . This program is targeted to 1.2 million Ameren Illinois customers, spanning more than 1,200 communities in the operating area of ​​MISO, the Midcontinent Independent System Operator.

The initiative will allow users with smart thermostats in their homes , primarily in central and southern Illinois, to enroll in EnergyHub’s Bring Your Own Thermostat program, where CPower will serve as a VPP market participant for MISO.

Additionally, participants are offered a $50 gift card upon registration and an additional $25 annual bonus for those who choose to participate, helping to maintain grid reliability , especially during high peak demand in the summer. .
