Petrobras announced a dividend of 35.8 billion reais ($6.9 billion) in the fourth quarter of 2022, raising the annual number to a record and paying record dividends to investors who held onto their shares despite concerns about the president’s political intervention. Lula da Silva.

With this, Petrobras became the second largest dividend payer in the oil industry behind Saudi Aramco, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
