Un refuerzo con los planes de descarbonización

The company has presented plans for decarbonization and offshore gas drilling to address crucial environmental challenges. Noble Corporation owns platforms on which it has intensified its efforts to adopt digital emission monitoring solutions.

A major reinforcement with decarbonization plans

The involvement of all sectors of industry, as well as policy and society, is crucial to accelerate the decarbonization process and ensure a green energy and low-carbon future, as Noble Corporation’s implementation of the Energy Efficiency Insights (EEI) system is celebrated as a significant step forward. This offshore drilling operator has equipped its 29 active rigs with this solution.

This measure represents technological advances, such as real-time emissions monitoring for the offshore drilling industry. He also highlights that this tool allows his crew to monitor and “proactively reduce energy consumption,” which contributes to minimizing the carbon footprint of Noble’s operations.

A system that provides comprehensive solutions

The system provides critical data on the platform’s daily fuel consumption, allowing the crew to identify usage patterns and opportunities to optimize energy efficiency. Beyond fuel consumption, the system also calculates daily emissions in terms of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂e), which facilitates a comprehensive environmental impact assessment, Noble stressed.

In addition to these measures, Noble is laying the groundwork for improving sustainability in Guyana’s offshore oilfields. This will be achieved through further energy efficiency energy efficiency on the Noble Bob Douglas, Noble Don Taylor, Noble Sam Croft and Noble Tom Madden platforms.

The platform owner explained that these improvements will result in a reduction of more than 5,700 tons of CO₂ per year per platform, which equates to a 12% decrease. These initiatives include technologies such as high-efficiency ventilation and smart start systems, as part of Noble’s comprehensive strategy and decarbonization plans.
