German cognitive robotics company NEURA Robotics has secured €120 million in Series B funding. This financial backing is led by Lingotto Investment Management and supported by BlueCrest Capital Management and Volvo Cars Tech Fund , among others.
A future for humanoid robotics from Neura Robotics
Founded in 2019, NEURA Robotics has rapidly grown to become a global reference in robotic technology. Through their innovations, such as the world’s first cognitive robot , they have transformed sectors such as manufacturing, logistics and healthcare. In addition, their development of humanoid robots, such as the 4NE-1 model , seeks to integrate advanced sensory capabilities for efficient collaboration with humans.
With over 300 employees and revenue growth tenfold over last year, the company is also notable for its Neuraverse , a platform that facilitates the cognitive robotics ecosystem with an operating system and a marketplace for robotic skills.
The recent funding will go towards developing new products and expanding its research and development capabilities. NEURA Robotics plans to consolidate its global presence and strengthen its impact in cognitive robotics, competing with other leading companies in the United States and China.
“Cognitive robotics is expected to become bigger than the smartphone. I am proud that NEURA is the first to launch a commercially viable cognitive robot and remains the only humanoid robotics company in Germany. This investment demonstrates the confidence our investors have in my team and in being a pioneer in advanced robotics in Europe. “.
