EQUIPCON Where we’ve been and where we are going

Textual note taken from EQUIPCON on February 26, 2024

Noblesville, Indiana  – February 26, 2024

In February, Equipcon had two significant events on its calendar. The first unfolded in Remchingen, Germany, where our esteemed partner Nordinkraft hosted an “open house.” This event provided a platform to showcase and inform everyone about their latest equipment, creating an invaluable opportunity for all attendees to gain firsthand insights.

The main inspection method of this new equipment is for the detection of hard spots. Being invisible to conventional UT or X-ray techniques, hard spots may cause microcracks in the course of pipe production. These microcracks, which develop in the pipelines, destroy them, resulting in incidents or even explosions. More information can be seen at www.nordinkraft.de

The second event took place at the annual NDTMA conference held in Las Vegas, NV, from February 20–22.

NDTMA, an acronym for Nondestructive Testing Management Association, hosts this convention annually, providing a platform for businesses to actively engage and stay informed of industry developments.

The association’s mission is centered around promoting continuous growth and leadership development by fostering an open exchange of crucial management, technical, and regulatory information vital to the nondestructive testing industry.

Equipcon presented at booth #55, showcasing our latest equipment with enthusiasm. Engaging with peers in the industry, we had the opportunity to catch up and exchange insights and expand our independent representative network.

In May, Equipcon will be attending another conference that will be taking place in Columbus, Ohio, from May 6–9. This conference is the annual AISTech (Association for Iron & Steel Technology), which will feature technologies from all over the world to help steel producers compete more effectively in today’s global market. More information can be found at www.aist.org

We will be at booth #3209, where we will be showcasing products from both of our partners, Nordinkraft and Scantech.

Nordinkraft specializes in cutting-edge, fully automated, and in-line ultrasonic non-destructive testing (NDT) systems and equipment. Their expertise lies in providing industrial automatic inspection solutions for a wide range of materials, including plates, strips, pipes, bars, billets, and more. Key ultrasonic methods employed by Nordinkraft include EMAT, phased array, and conventional technologies.

Scantech stands as the global frontrunner in X-ray measurements, specializing in assessing thickness, weight, moisture, CaCo3, TiO2, BaSo4, coatings, and various other parameters across the energy, metals, textiles, and extrusion industries.

Feel free to stop by booth #3209 and gain firsthand insights into the innovative technologies offered by Nordinkraft and Scantech, while also getting to know more about our valued partners.
