The role of other entities for the development of wind energy

Southerly Ten will also assume responsibility and execution of CIP’s offshore wind projects, including two major ones: Star of the South and Kut-Wut Brataualung . Established Australian executive Charles Rattray will lead Southerly Ten. Executive Rattray, who has served as CEO of Star of the South since August 2022, brings more than two decades of experience in the energy and finance sectors.

Rattray commented: “I am excited to lead Southerly Ten and build on CIP’s efforts to establish an offshore wind industry in Australia, as well as continue to expand its portfolio. Southerly Ten will significantly contribute to Australia’s green energy transition while generating economic and job opportunities in the regions“.

The CIP Flagship Funds will provide funding for the evolution and progress of the Southerly Ten project. In this way, the future of current investment decisions will allow the CIP to provide financing for the construction of the project, in a sustainable manner.
