How reliable and safe is your boiler? (1st part)

Boilers are closed vessels with gas or electric burners to generate steam from liquid water. They are normally equipped with a pressure relief valve, if the boiler cannot withstand the pressure, the energy contained in the steam is instantly released causing extremely dangerous damage.
