The Voltfang company has just officially turned on the lights at its new factory in Aachen, Germany, and in doing so has started a dedicated second-life battery facility across Europe.

During the inaugural event, Hendrik Wüst, Prime Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia, mentioned the strategic value of the company, stating that “sustainable innovations such as Voltfang’s can strengthen German industrial competitiveness“. In addition, his participation confirms the government’s support for initiatives that promote energy independence.
The location of this new plant in Aachen enhances the city’s vision as a logistics hub for energy storage solutions. From there, Voltfang is looking to scale up its production and respond to the growing demand for energy backup systems for industry, infrastructure for industry, infrastructure and the public sector.
