A few months ago, the Swiss company Climeworks announced the construction of Mammoth, a huge carbon dioxide capture plant directly from the air in Iceland, with the capacity to capture 36,000 tons of CO₂ per year, it would be the absorption and storage plant for world’s largest direct air. However, that could change.

The company CarbonCapture will build the Bison project, in the state of Wyoming, in the United States, which in its Phase 1 will begin to eliminate some 10,000 tons per year next year, and plans to permanently eliminate 5 million tons of atmospheric CO₂ annually by 2030, becoming the largest in the world, breaking European catch records.
