RGo Robotics Inc. announced a few days ago the integration of NVIDIA’s Isaac Robotics technology into its robot perception platforms. According to the company, this merger will “drive AI-based automation.”

First of all, RGo highlighted that its Perception Engine is an advanced vision and artificial intelligence system artificial intelligence that facilitates localization, obstacle detection and scene understanding. The combination with NVIDIA Isaac Perceptor acceleration libraries will enable customers to deploy mobile robots in a matter of months.

Compatibility and configuration of technology on robots

The resulting software stack is compatible with the new NVIDIA Nova Orin developer kit, designed to simplify the configuration of robots in changing internal and external environments.

On the other hand, Amir Bousani, co-founder and CEO of RGo Robotics, said the RGo Perception Engine, already in operation in complex warehousing and manufacturing environments, is driving intelligent automation in previously unreachable places. He noted that the integration with NVIDIA Isaac Perceptor will significantly expand the deployment of intelligent mobile machines that operate reliably in any environment.

RGo Robotics and robot perception

RGo Robotics explained that it develops technology for machines to perceive their environment. The company, with offices in Caesarea, Israel, and Cambridge, Massachusetts, said its software enables robots to learn in real time through computer vision, AI algorithms and scalable sensor fusion technology.

In this regard, Perception Engine, its flagship product, offers a modular AI stack that facilitates autonomous robot driving, remote operations, asset and inventory tracking, geofencing and shared dynamic mapping.

Additionally, the integration of the Isaac Perceptor with the Perception Engine will provide advanced vision capabilities to autonomous mobile robots (AMR). This software stack is also compatible with NVIDIA’s recently released Nova Orin developer kit.

RGo and NVIDIA Isaac drive industrial robotics forward

Finally, Deepu Talla, vice president of robotics and AI at NVIDIA, said that RGo’s solutions for AMR, accelerated by NVIDIA Isaac, will enable customers in a variety of industries to deploy mobile robots that sense, understand and interact more effectively with their environment.

The companies noted that their joint offering will enable customers to leverage unique data generated by the platform, such as positioning, dynamic mapping, and geometric and semantic understanding. This will enhance AI-driven generative autonomy, natural human-machine interaction, and advanced analytics.
