Nordex and SSE have entered into an agreement for the installation of seven new wind turbines in Teruel, specifically in the Minguez and Portalrubio wind farms, with a total capacity of 42 MW.

The projects are located near Portalrubio, in the province of Teruel, and will have seven Nordex Delta4000 wind turbines. The installation of the four of them corresponds to the N163/5.X model on 116-meter steel towers and the remaining three to the N163/6.X, mounted on 119-meter structures. All the main components, including the towers, blades and nacelles, will be produced in Spain, strengthening Nordex’s commitment to the local and European supply chain.

As part of the contract, the Nordex Group Group will provide a specialized maintenance service for two decades. This will ensure the operational availability of the turbines andoptimal energy performance for SSE, the British company specializing in the development of renewable projects.

This order is in addition to other joint developments, such as the 64 MW Jubera wind farm, which is nearing completion. With this new agreement, both companies strengthen their strategy in the Spanish wind power market.

The autonomous community of Aragon continues to excel in its role in the energy transition through the number and scale of its wind projects. The proximity of the facility to the Nordex factory in Barásoain and the service center in Zaragoza brings long-term logistical and technical advantages.
