Hami Tonghuide Green Casting has signed a contract with Guofu Mingzhi, a subsidiary of Guofu Hydrogen Energy, to purchase a set of 22 hydrogen electrolyzers with a capacity of 1,000 m3/h and key auxiliary systems, worth more than 150 million yuan.
Integration of alkaline electrolysis in metallurgy
At the core of the project is the water electrolysis technology to produce clean hydrogen, which will be used in a new precision smelting plant in Hami, Xinjiang. The facility will have a capacity of 200,000 tons per year to produce high-purity iron by direct reduction with hydrogen, a key method in the transition to carbon-free metallurgy.
The agreement also provides for the joint development of intelligent systems to operate, control and maintain the hydrogen production infrastructure. hydrogen production infrastructure. These solutions will integrate wind and solar energy to power the electrolyzers, allowing flexible management of production based on the availability of renewables.
The plan calls for the annual supply of green hydrogen to reach 156.6 million cubic meters. This volume will support local industries in their decarbonization, consolidating Hami as a reference node in the hydrogen value chain in northwest China.
Guofu and its commitment to hydrogen electrolyzers
For Guofu Hydrogen Energythe sale represents a concrete validation of its model of integrated solutions for hydrogen production using green energy. Its positioning in Xinjiang and the partnership with industrial customers reinforce its leadership plan in the Asian hydrogen equipment market.
The cooperation between the two companies will continue to expand with new batches of equipment and digital services, consolidating a long-term strategy that integrates electrolysis, renewable energy and industrial hydrogen applications.
