The Grok generative artificial intelligence , developed by X, was launched last Friday in its preliminary phase, but initially, it is only available to users who have opted for the Premium+ subscription.
In a recent announcement, xAI, under the leadership of Elon Musk, introduced its AI-based generative chatbot, Grok AI , in India and 46 other countries. This rollout follows last week’s update from X that revealed the chatbot’s availability for Premium+ subscribers in the United States.
Does Grok AI outperform ChatGPT?
Designed to offer answers with a touch of wit and a rebellious attitude, Grok stands out in the chatbot market. By making use of real-time information from X, it aims to address questions that are currently rejected by other AI chatbots.
This chatbot operates with the Grok-0 language model, patented by xAI, which has 33 billion parameters , surpassing the capabilities of ChatGPT based on the GPT 3.5 language model (free version).
Since its launch in the United States, it has generated controversy. Once asked to criticize Elon Musk, Grok, in keeping with his rebellious nature, referred to Musk as a “delicate flower” and questioned various aspects of his actions, including his fascination with “x” and the changes made to the platform since its acquisition last year.
Notably, some users have expressed concerns about Grok’s lack of alignment with Musk’s political views. Responding to the criticism, Musk acknowledged the issue and stated that immediate steps are being taken to ensure the chatbot is more politically neutral.
