Uruguay will host a new Microsoft artificial intelligence and internet of things laboratory

The announcement was made after the meeting between the president, Luis Lacalle Pou (virtually), and a Microsoft delegation headed by Rodrigo Kede Lima, head of the company for Latin America. The Minister of Industry, Omar Paganini, and the Ambassador to the United States, Andrés Durán Hareau, participated. It will be the first laboratory in Latin America and the third outside the United States, joining Shanghai and Munich.

FS Bioenergy will capture and store CO2 2 km deep in Brazil

The American FS Bioenergía, the world’s largest producer of bioethanol from corn, continues to make progress in its objective of minimizing the carbon footprint of its operations in the production of biofuel and has just confirmed that it will build an underground storage facility in the new biorefinery that it plans in Brazil, to sequester and bury the carbon dioxide emissions resulting from such operations.
