The event that brings together the Latin American Society of Maritime Oil Terminal Operators and Monobuoys, SLOM , celebrated its XIX day with great unprecedented success. After 11 years, SLOM returns to Brazil and on this occasion the conferences revolved around debates on innovation and technology, exploring regulations and standards to optimize the operation of maritime terminals.
This event brings together leaders from operating companies, suppliers and experts in digital transformation and applied AI, addressing the digitalization of processes in terminals and ship to ship operations.
From September 27 to 29 at the facilities of the Hotel Windsor in Barra Da Tijuca, this day was the setting for the dissemination of new technologies and the offering of specialized products and services to the maritime, port and oil sector in Latin America and the world.
The president of SLOM, Francisco Barreto, expressed that “The XIX Conference held in Brazil is a great opportunity for the oil and gas industry and marine oil terminals. On this occasion, many operators are participating for solutions and knowledge exchange.
This is good for the Brazilian market and also for all Latin American companies. Mainly, given the magnitude of the number of operations we have in Brazil, especially Petrobras and Transpetro, we need to develop new operators and new suppliers of good services for the industry.”
TRANSPETRO
Sérgio Bacci, President of Transpetro , also spoke with our Inspenet team in Rio de Janeiro during the XIX SLOM day . Bacci on this occasion stated that for Transpetro it is a pleasure to be at SLOM because it is effectively an event for the integration of companies to learn to share techniques and experiences, and for greater transparency in the operations of our terminals and monobuoys. “We assumed the management of Transpetro 5 months ago and as a project we have the construction of a fleet of vessels of 25 vessels in the next 8 years. Transpetro is the largest operator in Brazil in the maritime industry.”
