The Fischer company presented at the Construmat fair, which was held at the end of May in Barcelona, the Baubot robot that automates fixing and assembly tasks in construction, allowing an increase in productivity.

“The digital revolution is here and Fischer wants to lead it with technological solutions at the service of safety, process optimization, energy efficiency and the quality of construction projects. The BauBot is a sign of Fischer’s leadership in the digital revolution in construction”, says José Luis Massana, CEO of Fischer Ibérica.

Efficiency and precision in construction: Find out how the Fischer BauBot optimizes processes

In addition to the Baubot, the company will present its advanced solutions in efficient monitoring for fixing elements, connectors for collaborating wooden-concrete slabs and comprehensive solutions for photovoltaic ventilated facades. In addition, the brand will also present innovations in embedded rail systems with patented flange geometry that offer the highest load capacities for traction and shear.

The fastening assembly robot in combination with a digital executive project turns installation and assembly fastening work into a fully automated process on the construction site. The most immediate consequence of using this robot is a vast increase in productivity.

Through precise drilling and meticulous mounting of the anchors at the location defined by the BIM drawing, errors are ruled out. Additional costs and delays in project planning are eliminated.

The BauBot takes on repetitive, physically demanding jobs and thereby eliminates the risk of injury. Thanks to the integrated drilling dust extraction system, it contributes to a clean and healthy environment in the workplace.

Thanks to its state-of-the-art sensors, the Baubot detects any deviation from the standard drilling and assembly process, while responding with a predefined strategy. The process parameters at each step are documented in the BIM model.

In addition, there is a record of all the actual parameters of the operations (dimensions of the perforations, assembly data, such as applied tightening torque, etc.) To guarantee safety during operations, the robot will be subject to supervision at all times. from a Fischer technician and 24-hour emergency assistance service.

The Baubot arm allows drilling and anchoring work on the floor, wall or ceiling with a plan tour of up to 360º, covering an approximate area of 15 square meters from a stationary position and up to a height of 5 meters.

The global precision of the location of the anchors is ±3 mm. Its autonomous advance by means of 2 caterpillars overcomes obstacles on common ground at the construction site and once it reaches the location of the works, four telescopic feet stabilize the horizontality of the base and ensure its position against any unwanted displacement.
