After two days of intense activities, the event AMPP LatinCORR + Pan American Corrosion Conference ended with a resounding success, consolidating itself as the main technical and academic event in the field of corrosion protection and asset integrity in Latin America.
During the event, which took place at the JW Marriott Hotel in Panama, more than a hundred experts and leading institutions participated in technical panels, specialized workshops and applied research presentations, covering cutting-edge topics such as smart coatings, cathodic protection advanced structural integrity monitoring and asset management in critical environments.

One of the highlights was the panel “Shaping the Future of Infrastructure: Advancing Integrity and Suitability,” where representatives of engineering schools and associations in the region discussed the trends that are defining the new global infrastructure standards. In addition, innovative studies on artificial intelligence applied to corrosion forecasting, the use of microcapsule-based inhibitors and the management of microbial corrosion in industrial environments.
The official closing was given by Greg Muha (AMPP), who chaired the last plenary session with a reflection on the relevance of technical collaboration in the region to strengthen industrial sustainability strategies.
