ConnectDER has secured $35 million in Series D funding to fuel its expansion and product innovation. This funding was led by Decarbonization Partners, a collaboration between BlackRock and Temasek, with participation from other notable investors including MassMutual Ventures and Evergy Ventures.

IslandDER from ConnectDER makes home electrification easy

The technology that has positioned ConnectDER as an industry leader includes its new IslandDER, a next-generation meter plug adapter designed to enable seamless integration of distributed energy resources. This innovative adapter makes it easy to connect solar systems, battery storage , electric vehicles (EVs), and other energy solutions, delivering reliable and cost-effective energy backup for homes across North America.

Ivo Steklac, CEO of ConnectDER, highlighted that this financing will allow the company to expand its presence in the market and bring its technology to more homes, reducing costs and simplifying the process of installing renewable energy systems .

Our solution not only improves household resilience to power outages, but also facilitates the adoption of solar and electric vehicles without costly utility panel upgrades.

Steklac explained.

The investment received will also contribute to the growth of the renewable energy industry by reducing installation costs and increasing employment opportunities. The company has simplified the connection of energy systems , making it possible for more than 60 million households in the U.S. to adopt solar and electric vehicle charging solutions more affordably.

ConnectDER has created a solution that solves a critical adoption problem for consumers, facilitating the electrification of homes through innovative technologies.
