The 19th SLOM 2023 Conference, held in the iconic city of Rio de Janeiro, has been a resounding success, and Francesco Solari, CEO of Inspenet, has been an integral part of this achievement.
“After three intense days, I am sure that all participants came away stronger, with new learnings, a broader network of contacts and numerous successful business deals completed,” shared Francesco, reflecting the spirit of collaboration and growth that Inspenet promotes.
One of the highlights of this edition was the notable female presence. Angélica Hernández, treasurer and representative of Chile, who has been a constant participant in the SLOM Conferences, expressed her satisfaction at seeing how the female presence has enriched the event. “It is a joy to see how the concept of integrity is applied, not because of gender differences, but because of what we contribute,” she said. She also highlighted the growth in female participation: “Last year there were 20 of us, this year we are 75.”
Gonzalo, vice president of the organization, spoke about future challenges: “Our main objective is to grow the company, not only in numbers but in impact. We want the region to benefit from knowledge and improve in three fundamental pillars: safety, sustainability and efficiency in maritime operations.”
José, a pioneer of the organization, also expressed his gratitude for being part of such a humane and dedicated team. “What really makes this institution great is its human quality, its knowledge and its humanity,” he said.
Looking ahead, Francesco previewed what is coming next year: “The big challenge is 2024, when we will celebrate our 20th anniversary in Uruguay. The only way to achieve true strength is to integrate knowledge, friendship and networking. Together we are stronger.”
