The new production area, which will be fully operational in 2026, will incorporate robotics and state-of-the-art digital manufacturing processes. This strategic shift will enable GKN to improve productivity and product quality while reducing lead times for its engine systems and structural components.
One of the key aspects of this expansion is GKN’s ability to meet the growing demand for market-leading engines such as the GEnX, GTF and Trent XWB. The company currently has a strong order backlog that spans nine years, underscoring its importance in the aerospace sector global.
