In an outstanding addition to its global fleet, Woodside has welcomed its latest liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier, the Scarlet Ibis . This new addition recently completed its maiden voyage from the construction yard in South Korea to the Pluto LNG facility located in Karratha, Western Australia, marking an important milestone for the company.

The Scarlet becomes the seventh long-term charter vessel to join Woodside’s fleet. Woodside. In addition, four other vessels are expected to join this fleet by 2026 in preparation for the start of the Scarborough Energy Project. This vessel not only expands the company’s operational capacity, but also reinforces its commitment to the consistent supply of energy to its customers around the world.
This imposing vessel, at more than 292 meters in length, has a cargo capacity of approximately 174,000 m3 of LNG, placing it among the largest and most advanced vessels of its type. The Scarlet vessel’s cutting-edge technology and efficiency reflect the company’s continued focus on delivering affordable energy solutions and reducing the carbon footprint of its global operations.
