UK-based TSC Subsea has secured a “significant” multi-year contract for the implementation of advanced technological solutions and subsea inspections in Brazil with an unnamed operator. One of the objectives is to carry out inspections of insulated flexible in the pre-salt region off the Brazilian coast.
Future underwater inspections in Brazil
TSC Subsea will be responsible for performing inspections using Automatic Pipe Review(ART) technology and the ARTEMIS system. These tools will allow the collection of critical acoustic data on the integrity of the flexible pipelines. In addition, the client’s proprietary techniques will be utilized, which include subsea phased array ultrasound(SPA) and pressure measurements to ensure a comprehensive analysis of pipeline conditions.
