The manufacture of the abra was made possible thanks to the collaboration of Abu Dhabi-based Al-Sair Marine and international giants Mitsubishi and Siemens, which were responsible for supplying materials and overseeing the programming, respectively. In addition, Torqeedo, a German firm, has supplied the electric motors, ensuring compliance with strict safety standards during the manufacturing process.

Extension of infrastructure in Dubai Creek

In addition to the abra launch, the Authority is renovating four heritage maritime stations in Dubai Creek to improve services and enhance safety. These stations, which serve more than 14 million passengers annually, are being equipped with new shopping and waiting facilities, including adapted areas for people with disabilities, in line with the Dubai Code for Persons of Determination.

These developments are expected not only to improve the functionality of the stations, but also to increase their capacity and sustainability.
