From the bustling floor of the AMPP conference, Aurelija Steffensen, Product Manager at BactiQuant, reveals how the Denmark-based company is setting a new precedent in bacterial detection across industries. With a solution that stands out for its speed and accuracy, BactiQuant introduces an enzymatic technology capable of measuring bacteria in just 15 minutes.

Enzymatic Technology

BactiQuant employs a pioneering approach by injecting enzymes that interact with bacteria to produce a detectable fluorescence emission through fluorometers. This process converts fluorescence units directly into bacterial counts, providing rapid and reliable results.

The technology of BactiQuant is applied in various industrial settings, from wellhead waters to produced waters, thanks to its ability to perform online measurements and its self-cleaning system.

This means you can measure from 1 to 12 samples per day directly in line, getting real-time results through various communication means,” explains Steffensen.

Focused on Bacterial Trend Analysis

Unlike DNA analyses, BactiQuant’s focus is on unveiling bacterial trends, a growing need in industries such as oil, gas, and food. “We believe bacteria are currently a significant issue,” states Steffensen, emphasizing the importance of their patented technology, developed at a Danish University.

Partnership with Brown Corrosion

The collaboration with Brown Corrosion, experts in corrosion monitoring, strengthens BactiQuant’s mission to provide advanced bacterial measurement solutions for different industries.

We’re very happy to have such knowledgeable individuals like Jane and Jerry on our team,” shares Steffensen.

For those interested in learning more about BactiQuant and its technology, Steffensen invites visiting their website or connecting through LinkedIn to discuss how their innovative approach to bacterial measurement can benefit various industries.
