SLOM 2025 begins with a day marked by international connection
The 21st edition of the SLOM 2025 event, organized by the Latin American Society of Marine Oil and Monobuoys Terminal Operators, officially kicked off on September 24. The day began with the registration of hundreds of attendees and an opening ceremony that included the traditional ribbon cutting, giving way to a day full of technical, commercial and cultural activities.
Since its creation in 2005, SLOM has established itself as the event of reference in Latin America for professionals in the maritime and oil sector. In this edition, the venue chosen was the modern Panama Convention Center, a space that reinforced the international and strategic character of the meeting.
Technical exchange and a look to the future
Throughout the day, technical presentations were given by industry leaders from different countries. These sessions provided an updated overview of technologies applied to operational safety, port efficiency and environmental sustainability in marine terminals and monobuoys.
In addition, experts shared success stories, management models and innovative solutions aimed at transforming the operating standards of the sector in the region. The exchange was enriched by the active participation of supplier companies, port operators and technical consultants.
Commercial area: global meeting point
In parallel to the conferences, the trade fair was opened, a dynamic space where companies from countries such as China, France, Italy and Chile exhibited specialized products and services. This environment favored networking, the creation of strategic alliances and the identification of new business opportunities.
Special coverage by Inspenet, a media specialized in the industry, provided exclusive interviews with representatives of various companies, broadening the scope of the day's news and capturing the international pulse of the event.
Recognition and cultural celebration
The day concluded with an awards ceremony, which recognized the outstanding participation of companies and personalities from the sector. Afterwards, attendees enjoyed a welcome cocktail and a Panamanian dance and music show, which reinforced the event's sense of community and spirit of cultural exchange.
A regional platform with a global vision
