Share

During the SLOM 2025 event held in Panama, Cristian Mardones Aburto, Operations Manager Maritime Services at MARVAL, shared details about the company's value proposition and its role in guaranteeing operational continuity for clients in the energy and industrial sectors.

MARVAL and its evolution in the maritime industry

Founded in 1989, MarĆtima ValparaĆso Chile S.A. (MARVAL) has built a solid track record in the logistics and port industry. The company started with international chartering and liner agency operations, expanding over the years to comprehensive services including logistics, transportation, own terminals and offshore operations. Currently, the company operates in the main ports of Chile and maintains an international presence in Miami, Lima, La Paz and soon in Brazil.

Integration of services for operational continuity

One of the pillars of the company's operation is its ability to offer integrated solutions; with four major business areas(logistics, agency, port services and maritime services), the company acts as a strategic partner to ensure that loading and unloading operations are not interrupted. From subsea services to marine repairs, each component is designed to respond quickly to customer needs, keeping vessels on the move.

Strategic logistics and international coverage

MARVAL has developed a logistics network that covers important points of the Chilean territory such as Valparaiso, San Antonio, Santiago, Antofagasta, Talcahuano and Mejillones. This network covers from Arica to Magallanes, complemented with offices abroad, allowing an efficient logistic control in energy and port operations of high traffic.

Land transportation and regulatory compliance

The land component of logistics is handled by Fast Truck, formerly known as Transporte Marval; with its own fleet, the company guarantees safety, traceability and compliance with regulations for the transportation of critical cargo in the energy industry. This ability to integrate maritime and overland services strengthens the company's proposal for operational continuity, crucial for clients who depend on uninterrupted logistical rhythms.

Certifications and safety culture

MARVAL operates under the ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 Trinorm, which supports its commitment to quality, the environment and occupational safety. These certifications translate into an organizational culture focused on efficient operations, safe work environments and sustainable processes; all of its personnel and maritime services are certified, which reinforces the trust of its customers and consolidates its position in the industry.

Presence in SLOM and regional projection

The participation of MARVAL in SLOM 2025 responds to its strategy of expansion and strengthening in Latin America. Cristian Mardones highlighted the importance of these events to learn about the current state of the market, generate new alliances and extend the brand's presence in other regions.
