During the SLOM 2025 event, MSZ Offshore co-founder Akshay Prasad shared the company's vision for growth beyond the Indian market. With a background in maritime operations and a focus on port efficiency, Prasad explained how his company is looking to enter the Latin American region by offering a service that combines technology, advanced logistics and immediate emergency response.

Technically and operationally based offshore solutions

Founded in 2017 as part of Marine Solutionz, the company has built a comprehensive offering for the offshore sector that includes:

The company has consolidated its position in India by servicing operations in FPSO, FSRU and SPM, maintaining local stocks and reduced delivery times, allowing direct support in critical situations, minimizing downtime in oil terminals.

A model based on 24/7 attention

Prasad noted that MSZ Offshore not only offers products, but continuous service, backed by a team of engineers and sea captains that operates under a philosophy of permanent availability. "When the customer calls, we are ready. Whether it's maintenance or emergency, we respond without delay," he said. This capability is possible thanks to the support of alliances with international brands such as Monobuoy, Resinex, Flexomarine and Pharos Marine Automatic.

These partnerships allow them to integrate advanced technologies such as:

Recent case: effective response in Mumbai

A concrete example of this model occurred recently off the coast of Mumbai, where a customer experienced ruptured mooring hoses during the monsoon. Faced with a lack of spare parts, the company acted quickly: it coordinated with its supplier, arranged for the hoses to be shipped by air and achieved delivery within 4 to 6 weeks.

The use of breakaway couplings allowed the system to be activated prior to complete shutdown, preventing a spill of crude oil when the flow was interrupted. This minimized both environmental impact and operational loss, cementing the company's reputation as a reliable supplier in critical situations.

Technical solutions adapted to demanding environments

MSZ Offshore solutions are adapted to demanding realities, for example, Monobuoy has developed buoys with proprietary monitoring systems that enable operators to prevent failures due to corrosion or wear and tear. In addition, its floats and accessories can be adjusted according to the specific requirements of each terminal.

This adaptive approach translates into turnkey projects, ranging from mooring design to the supply of all technical components, facilitating the smooth operation of terminals in complex conditions.

Opportunity in Latin America: what MSZ Offshore has to offer

MSZ Offshore has developed a distributed operational network from its experience with more than 30 SPMs and 6 FPSOs active in India, including presence in New Delhi, Mumbai and coastal areas to significantly reduce response times, now favoring its projection towards Latin America, where the company intends to implement this same model.

During SLOM 2025, the company identified opportunities to offer:

Outstanding participation in SLOM 2025

The participation of MSZ Offshore at SLOM 2025 served as a scenario to reinforce its positioning with potential partners in Latin America, presenting during the event a value proposition focused on immediate responses, specialized technical support and logistical capacity for complex operations in offshore terminals. In this way, the team made clear its intention to establish strategic partnerships in the region.
