Japanese manufacturer Meiden Group has begun its participation in ASNT 2024, the leading congress on non-destructive testing, which is being held at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas. In this framework, Yoshimoto , representative of Meiden, highlighted the launch and advantages of the innovative “cold castor” X-ray tube, developed to meet the demands of key sectors, including infrastructure, security and medicine.
With a focus on expanding its presence internationally, Meiden is betting on the U.S. market, recognizing the growing demand in the nondestructive inspection (NDT) space. “The U.S. is a very large market with a lot of potential for our type of technology,” Yoshimoto said. Meiden currently has a customer base in Asia, but ASNT 2024 represents a strategic opportunity to introduce this product in North America.
A step forward in infrastructure inspection with environmental commitment
Meiden’s X-ray tube is designed under principles of sustainability and efficiency, in line with the group’s mission to create value in society and care for the environment. The “cold castor” technology allows for detailed and safe inspections in infrastructure, manufacturing and medical applications, thus ensuring better quality in the maintenance of essential structures without harming the environment.
With over ten years of development, this X-ray tube has been manufactured for three years, generating a significant impact in Japan and Asia. However, Meiden’s opening to the US market seeks to boost its global reach and offer high-quality technological solutions that reflect its corporate philosophy: “illuminating a more prosperous tomorrow.”
At ASNT 2024, which brings together more than 2,200 professionals and 210 exhibitors, Meiden hopes to attract the interest of new customers interested in advanced inspection solutions. With its customer focus and environmental commitment, Meiden aims to make a significant contribution to improving infrastructure and safety in North America.
